Latent podcast · Guest guide
Inside the conversation.
We talk to researchers, investors and policymakers about discoveries, the people behind them and what it would take to move their work forward.
Online via Zencastr · Up to two hours · Guest review before publication
Why we’re doing this
Latent is building a platform to help researchers explain where progress is stuck, so investors and policymakers can see where funding or a policy change could help. When a guest describes a problem someone we’ve met could help solve, we’ll offer an introduction if both people want one.
Our ambition is to help make cures for all deadly human diseases possible within 15 years, with a particular interest in autoimmune diseases. We invite guests across disciplines because a useful idea can come from outside the field where it’s needed.
Read our philosophyWhat will we talk about?
We start with your work. What question drew you in? What have you learned that someone outside your field might miss? Where do you think the field is heading? Bring a story, a project or an open question you’d like people to hear about. We’ll agree on topics and share questions beforehand, with room to follow the conversation.
How does recording work?
We’ll send you a Zencastr link for a relaxed online conversation. Allow up to two hours, but let us know if you need a shorter slot.
Can I review the episode?
Yes. We’ll send you the full episode and every proposed clip before anything is published. If an edit loses context, ask us to restore it. You can correct an explanation, request an edit or re-record an answer. Only versions you approve will be published.
Where will it appear?
We plan to share the conversation on YouTube and clips on Instagram, with Spotify a possibility later. If there’s a question or answer you’d like to share as a reel on your own account, tell us and we’ll cut it for you.
